Cancellation & Booking Policy
 

Stay Sharp Studio - Cancellation & Booking Policy

At Stay Sharp Studio, we value your time and ours. To ensure smooth operations and fairness to all clients, we have established the following cancellation and booking policies. Please read them carefully before booking your appointment.

Booking Fees

  • All booking fees are non-refundable, except where required by consumer law.

  • We are committed to providing a professional service, and these fees help us cover operational costs and staff wages. 

  • Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, if we are unable to provide the service for any reason on our end, you are entitled to a full refund.

Rescheduling

  • Changes made at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment can be accommodated within a one-week time frame.

  • Any changes requested less than 48 hours before your appointment will require a new booking fee. 
     

Cancelling your appointment
Alternatively, the full value of the booking can be retained as a gift voucher, valid for one year from the date of issue.

  • If you cancel within 48 hours of your booking, arrive more than 10 minutes late, or do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged a Cancellation Fee, which is the service prepayment made at the time of booking.

  • Cancellations are costly to us as we are not able to fill the gap left by last-minute changes.
     

No-Shows & Lateness

  • Clients who do not show up for their appointment ("no-shows") are not entitled to reschedule or receive a refund.

  • If you are more than 5 minutes late, a £5 late fee will be added to your bill.

  • If lateness affects the ability to complete your service, your appointment may need to be rescheduled, and a new booking fee will apply.
     

No ID, No Piercing!

  • A valid government-issued ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) is mandatory.

  • Age requirements for each service are displayed in the booking details.

  • If a client fails to present valid ID at the time of their appointment, their appointment and booking fee will be forfeited, except in cases where a refund is required by law.

Consumer Rights & Policy Compliance

  • Our policy is in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other relevant UK consumer protection laws.

  • If we have to cancel your appointment due to unforeseen circumstances on our end, you will be offered an alternative appointment or a full refund.

  • Customers retain their statutory rights under UK consumer law regarding refunds and cancellations.

  • Our policy helps us keep our schedule running smoothly, ensuring that we can accommodate as many clients as possible.

  • Missed appointments and last-minute cancellations impact our ability to serve others, so we enforce these policies to maintain fairness for all clients.

Non-Returnable & Non-Refundable Policy

For hygiene reasons, all body jewelry sales are final and non-refundable. Please ensure you have selected the correct size before completing your purchase. However, this does not affect your statutory rights—if an item is faulty, not as described, or of unsatisfactory quality, please contact us for assistance.
 

Order Processing & Amendments
Once your order has been placed, we are generally unable to make amendments, as many items are ordered quickly from our suppliers to maintain stock levels. If you need to make a change, please contact us immediately, and we will do our best to assist you if possible.

 

Branded Jewelry Lead Times and Delivery
Branded jewelry such as Junipurr, Industrial Strength, Anatometal, Apex, and NeoMetal may have a wait time of 2–12 weeks due to customs processing. This is usually faster, but delays are outside of our control. By checking out, you acknowledge and accept these lead times.

If your order is being dispatched outside the UK, please note that the wait time applies to the jewelry arriving to us, and additional delivery time will apply. All international orders are shipped via Royal Mail Tracked & Signed for security and traceability.
 

Customs & Import Fees
The buyer is responsible for any customs and handling fees upon international delivery. Please check your country’s import policies before placing an order.

Manufacturer Warranty

This warranty covers the materials and workmanship for life. It does not cover loss, misuse, accidental damage, or general wear and tear.  If your jewelry is found to be defective due to a manufacturing fault, and you are entitled to a replacement or repair, original wait times will apply.

  • Inari Organics

  • B.V.L.A

Making a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, please contact us with:

  • Your original order receipt or order number

  • Photographic evidence

  • An explanation of what has happened.
     

Warranty Process:
Once a warranty claim has been opened, it will be reviewed by the manufacturer. If the claim is approved, a direct replacement will be issued.

In cases where a direct replacement is not possible—such as if the design has been discontinued or specific materials (e.g., stones) are unavailable—the value of the item can be redeemed against another piece from the same manufacturer.

This process ensures you receive a high-quality replacement while maintaining the original value of your purchase.

PARKING
Limited parking spaces are available directly outside the studio, with a two-hour free limit. Please ensure you leave promptly after your allotted appointment time.
The nearest car park is located at
Hale Train Station, just a short distance away.

I CAN'T FIND YOU!
We are located inside of Moonchild Tattoo (blue building).
We do not have a 'Stay Sharp' store front sign as we share the premises with resident tattooist and shop owner Anna Cardoza!

ACCESSABILITY
Our studio is located downstairs, . If you have accessibility requirements, such as wheelchair access, please inform us in advance. We can arrange for your appointment to take place upstairs, but we need advance notice to make the arrangements.

CHILDREN
Children are not permitted in the piercing studio area due to insurance restrictions. If you need to bring your child, please ensure you have a chaperone as we are not insured or qualified to provide babysitting services.  We are unable to proceed with the piercing appointment without a chaperone.
